Garden update....

We have been pretty active in the yard this year, and the garden is coming along nicely.

Lots of seedlings.

Peas are up and about a foot tall. Still waiting for flowers.

After several years, asparagus is producing. Sheree is thrilled.

We bought Llama manure for the garden. It came with millions of redworms!

  1. It is great to see someones garden already growing. We just got our planted on Saturday. The kids can't wait to see the fruits of our labors. It looks like you guys have a good sized plot to grow it. That is always nice. I would love to grow asparagus. Is it one that takes a few years to get established like strawberries?

  2. I am so impressed with your asparagus!

  3. My dad grows asparagus--the stuff from the store just doesn't compare. We're hoping to get our garden in this weekend. Nothing to exciting, but we are looking forward to fresh tomatoes and strawberries.

  4. Looks like what we feed our frog, Blood worms... BLAH! =0) We just planted ours and are waiting to see the seeds spring up! I'm so excited ... I love warm tomatoes right from the garden!

  5. Llama manure! What?! Your garden looks great!

  6. Apparently critters from that particular family (sheep, goats, llamas and alpacas) are the best organic soil ammendments because you don't have to compost their "offerings". The tomatoes are all looking VERY happy, so there must be something to it.
